Act 1: Chapter 3
You quicken your pace toward the castle, Aria's words echo in your head: Urgent!!!
Struggling to keep up, your tiny Puffling partner clings tightly to your shirt, its small body nearly blown away by the wind, yet you keep moving. Whatever awaits inside Puff Castle , it must be something serious.

Struggling to keep up, your tiny Puffling partner clings tightly to your shirt, its small body nearly blown away by the wind, yet you keep moving. Whatever awaits inside Puff Castle , it must be something serious.
The castle stands at the heart of the Puff Kingdom, surrounded by towering magical crystals that rise like mountains.
All around, Puffs of every size bustle about cheerfully — of course, they do. This is, after all, their capital.
At last… you arrive.
The enormous castle rises from the valley, its walls shimmering like stained glass in the sunlight. Above its tallest tower, a massive magic circle turns slowly, radiating a gentle glow as if it were the heart of all magic in the kingdom.
The castle only grows bigger as you get closer, until you’re forced to crane your neck just to see the top. Even the steps are wide and flat, built for strides much longer than yours. You climb up panting with effort
while the Puffs, of course, simply flutter upward with ease.
Two castle guards spot the guild insignia on your coat. Their eyes widen, and they hurry to greet you.
A Seeker! Thank the stars! You finally made it!
King Puff’s been waiting! He’s puffed up so much he’s about to burst! Please, this way!
They point toward the massive main doors towering above you.
You lift your gaze and can’t help but wonder
How many Puffs would it take to open something that big?
Before the thought finishes, the guards chant softly.
A flash of blue light ripples across the doors, and they slowly swing open — effortlessly.
You step into the grand hallway of the castle and immediately realise… everything here feels too large for a Puff. The ceilings stretch impossibly high, the corridors wide enough for giants to walk through. It’s nothing like the snug, rounded homes of Puffs you passed along the way.
KROOM!!
A loud crash makes you jump. Before you can even look around, a side door bursts open and two Pufflings come flying out at full speed!
The one in front nearly bumps into you, blinking in surprise before stammering out a rushed greeting.
Ah— uh! H-hello there, Seeker! I’m Pebble, apprentice knight! And this is the noble Princess Peridot! Er— sorry, we’re in a bit of a hurry!

Before you can respond, both of them dart off through another door, leaving you standing there, mouth gaping in confusion.
But just as you start to process what happened—
—they burst back out through the same door!

This time, the princess is wearing… a fake mustache and ridiculous glasses!?
Ah! G-good to see you again! I’m— uh— Pebble! And this here is, um… Uncle Peridora! Yes! My uncle! Definitely not Princess Peridot in disguise or anything like that!!
WHACK!
Princess Peridot kicks Pebble square in the back, sending him stumbling.
Stop babbling and MOVE already! We’re leaving!
Pleasure to meet you, Seeker
R-right, right! Urgent uncle business! Bye!!
The two of them dash off again, vanishing around the corner and leaving you frozen in bewilderment
Uncle Peridora… huh?
Wait—didn’t we just have an Aunt Peridorian last week? …I’m starting to lose track of that pebble family tree.
You are led into the Throne Room of the Puff Castle. The room gleams like the inside of a colossal gemstone, every surface glowing with soft reflected light.
At the far end, a throne much too large for its occupants, shakes with every bounce of King Puff. His little crown nearly topples off with every outburst.
Beside him sits a fluffy Puff with a calm, gentle air. She shares the same throne, holding a delicate teacup in one paw. She takes a sip, unbothered, eyes half-lidded with a gentle smile.

Finally! At last! A Seeker has come! I’ve been waiting—!
A disaster has struck! A catastrophe of the highest order! My daughter has vanished! Kidnapped! Spirited away! And all the kidnappers left behind is this... this slanderous note!!
He thrusts an ink-smudged piece of paper into your hands. The handwriting is big, blotchy, and very dramatic.
Dear Father, Dear Mother,
I’m moving out. Do not try to find me.
From this day forth, I shall live free!
Farewell forever
— Princess Peridot.
You must find her at once, Seeker! Before— before— ugh…!
You raise your hand, about to explain that... you just saw her moments ago...? But before you can say anything, a gentle voice interrupts.
My dear, please calm down…
Maybe she wasn’t kidnapped at all... maybe she actually meant to leave....
Perhaps—just perhaps—it has something to do with the pudding you secretly ate?
What?! Nonsense! It was just a pudding!
Wouldn’t it be better to let Pebble fetch her, like always?
Pebble is so slow! It takes him an entire day just to find her sometimes! Let the Seeker handle it instead! They’re a Seeker, after all!
But he does bring Peridot back every time, doesn’t he?
Queen Puff smiled softly, leaning toward you.
My apologies for dragging you into this, but I don’t think our daughter has gone very far. She’s probably still hiding somewhere nearby. Could you please ask her to come home before dinner?
As for the pudding… I’ll make sure her father apologises for that himself.
The King continued muttering under his breath—
words like “gratitude…” and “I’m the ruler of everything in this kingdom…” too busy to pay notice to the exchange.
Yet, in the end, King Puff called for Pebble anyway
.....And where’s that damn knight when we need him?! Pebble! Report at once!!
Before the echo of his shout could fade, the grand doors burst open. Pebble panting and saluting.
Pebble reporting, Your Majesty! How may I serve you?
Go with the Seeker now! Bring the princess back, no matter what it takes!!
You narrowed your eyes at Pebble, suspiciously. The poor knight stiffened, a bead of sweat trailing down his cheek as he tried not to meet your gaze.
He raised his sword, voice tight.
Understood, Your Majesty!
Hmm… what should I do with this little thief? If you told the truth now, the mission would probably end right there.
But in the end, you didn’t say anything at all.
After bidding farewell to King and Queen Puff, you stepped out of the grand castle gates.
“…”
A single glance from you was enough to make Pebble freeze on the spot.
Uh… g-good afternoon again, Seeker…
Do you know where the princess is right now? Or should I say… Uncle Peridora?
Pebble starts sweating profusely, his sweat dripping down his face. He tries to avoid your gaze.
Uh, w-well, that is… I-I just… um…
Pebble. A knight shouldn't lie..... You know?”
Pebble’s eyes went wide, tears welling up as he took a deep breath and stood straighter, mustering his courage.
Please... give her a little time… She just wanted to go out and have fun sometimes.
So you have your own reason, huh…Pebble?
I’ll bring her back, I promise! In the meantime, let me show you around the city as a thanks!
Then it’s a deal.
Pebble straightened his posture, puffing out his chest with all the determination he could muster.
On my honour as a trainee knight!
And with that..... your first mission began in a city bustling with Puffs and beautiful chaos everywhere.
