Art Bonus Guide
How quest rewards are calculated. Play with the calculator below, nothing here is submitted or saved; it's for reference only. When you submit a quest a moderator scores your art with this same formula.
⭐ Base Rewards
- +5 to +10 Coins per prompt submission (depending on prompt type). Generally, the base art requirement is a clean, colored/grayscale sketch, and the base writing requirement is at least 500 words.
- +5 Relationship Points (RP) for the Pufflings you own in the submission.
- Reward Cap: the total Bonus reward is capped at 35 Coins maximum (before the base reward is added).
🎨 Bonus Rewards (Artwork)
- +3 Coins for the first Puffling, then +1 Coin for each additional Puffling.
- Humanoid Pufflings — the first one earns by crop tier (Headshot +3 / Half-body +5 / Full-body +7), then +1 Coin for each additional Humanoid. You will not receive points for a humanoid form drawn for a Puffling that hasn't unlocked it.
- Seekers — the first one earns by crop tier (Headshot +3 / Half-body +5 / Full-body +7), then +1 Coin for each additional Seeker. Any unregistered Seeker or generic background humanoid character will not count, and Seekers without bonded Puffs are not eligible for the Seeker bonus.
- +2 Coins for Coloring.
- Shading — +2 Coins for minimal shading, +5 Coins for full shading applied throughout the piece.
- Background — +3 Coins for a Simple Background, +5 Coins for a Complex Background.
- +5 Coins each for Gift Art, a Masterpiece Rendering, and a Scenery Background.
- Full Scale (+25%) multiplies the Artwork + Writing subtotal by 1.25; Chibi Scale leaves it at 1×.
✍️ Bonus Rewards (Writing)
- +5 Coins for the first 500 words.
- +1 Coin for every additional 100 words (i.e. 1 Coin per 100 words).
- +5 Coins for a Gift writing submission.
🤝 Collaboration
- Two or more artists/authors share the total Coin reward, split evenly and rounded up.
- Only one person submits the work, but everyone involved must be credited.
- Writer collaboration: each writer highlights their own sections in a different text colour, and a note at the end of the submission specifies which colour belongs to which writer. If the submission does not clearly indicate who wrote each part, it is counted as a single-author work.
💰 Commissioned Work
- Commissioned works receive only 85% of the total Coin reward.
- Credit must always be given to both the commissioner and the artist.
🧮 The formula
MIN(35, ((Artwork + Writing) × Scale) + Extra) = Bonus Bonus + Base Coins = Total Total × Commission ÷ Collab = Final Coins
- Artwork and Writing add up the values above.
- Extra — the flat +5 bonuses (Gift Art, Masterpiece Rendering, Scenery Background) are added after the Scale multiplier.
- Bonus is capped at 35 coins before the quest's base reward is added.
- Commission multiplies the total by 0.85 (a 15% discount). Collab splits the final total between collaborators.
